Utah Visitor

My Idaho visitors left on Tuesday and then my Utah visitor came on Friday- Sharolyn came to visit us and meet McCall. I got to experience driving to and from the airport by myself for the first time. It was slightly terrifying and the taxi drivers at the airport are crazy but I did it and I was able to pick her up and drive home without any incidents. McCall had a doctor's appointment in the afternoon so Friday was a pretty uneventful day but it is always nice to have family come visit.

Saturday morning we went over to the lake to watch the Dragon Boat races. It is always a cool thing to see and to experience in person.
Then in the afternoon we went and walked around at Soos Creek Botanical Gardens.
It was so nice to walk around and enjoy nature and all the flowers. The girls had fun exploring and both of them brought their cameras and took pictures of everything they could which kept them entertained the whole time.
It was such a nice day and the girls loved the pond because it was filled with lily pads, tadpoles, little baby frogs, and dragonflies. We also went over to see the birds and the girls were so excited because the peacocks had little babies which were so cute and we got to see the peacock open up it's feathers twice. It was a fun way to end our outing and Baylor couldn't wait to get home to tell Nona about the baby peacocks.
Sunday morning was church- Sharolyn and I stayed home and watched in online though there was some technical difficulties so we only saw part of it. After we all ate lunch, we drove out to Kanasket-Palmer State Park to explore down by the water. The river is so pretty and Nate and the girls had so much fun exploring in the water, finding rocks and throwing them in, finding little fish, and Nate even found a little crawdad.
These two!- Baylor and her cute poses and Paige collected rock after rock.
Paige found some fishing line and created a fishing pole for Baylor with a stick and Baylor loved trying it out in the river and wanted to bring it home so she could go fishing at the lake.
Monday we went out to Snoqualmie- we first got some lunch to eat at the park and the girls had fun there for a little bit- it was pretty hot so they didn't last too long since the playground equipment was too hot to play on.
Then we went and saw Snoqualmie Falls- it was way too hot and there were tons of people there but it is always quite the sight to see.
Then once Nate got home we packed up our dinner and went to Tacoma to Owen Beach. The traffic there was a bit crazy since there was an accident and so by the time we got there McCall was hangry and was ready to be fed. We ended up eating in the car before walking down to the beach. It was a gorgeous evening with a gorgeous view. Paige and Nate spent most of the time beach combing and Baylor had fun playing in the sand and walking on the big log. The view of Mount Rainier was stunning and I even saw a sea lion in the distance. We saw lots of boats and got to the watch the ferry go back and forth. I love being on the beach especially in the evening and it was a nice way to end our visit with Sharolyn.
On our way out of the park, we saw a deer and some raccoons and they were right outside our car and the girls were pretty excited about that. It was a fun way to end our day!

Tuesday morning we got to experience another drive to the airport- I'm now a pro. :) Thanks for the visit Sharolyn!
