Blessing Dress

I enjoyed making this cute dress so much! I first found a pattern at JoAnn's that I really liked and then I kind of took some parts of one dress and other parts of another and made my own cute and simple blessing dress for our little baby girl. It was so fun to make and I'm excited to see our little one in it!

Baby Shower

Last Saturday I had the most wonderful baby shower. I felt so spoiled and am so grateful for all the things that I got. I got so many cute clothes and our little girl is going to be better dressed than I will be. :) We had a yummy lunch of chicken salad sandwiches, veggies, fruit kabobs, snicker doodles, and carrot cake cupcakes. It was all so good! There was about 25 people there. I was surprised so many people showed up. It was such a great day!
Everyone guessed when the baby is going to come and how much she is going to weigh. We'll have to see who's right. After everyone left and it was just family, the adult women went to see some model homes. They were so nice and it is always fun to see ideas on decorations.

8 Months

I can't believe that I only have one month left. At the beginning I felt as though I would never get to this point but now that it is here it seems that the time has gone really fast. I feel pretty good most of the time- I just have to readjust every few minutes, make many trips to the bathroom, and a little bit of heartburn. I feel as though I can't get any bigger though I am sure my stomach still has some stretch left. I am super excited to hold this little girl but quite terrified about the whole delivery part but I know everything will work out fine. Nate and I are super excited to be parents of this little one!

Trip to the Sound

This last weekend Nate and I decided to enjoy the beautiful weather and go and see the Sound. We were orginially going to go to Salt Water State Park but when we got there since we didn't have a pass it would have cost us $10 and we didn't want to pay that much since we would only be there for a few hours. So we drove along until we spotted a place where we could get close to the water which was at this fun little marina. We walked around and looked at the boats, found some star fish, saw lots of little fish and even a parrot that some lady was carry around. There was this long pier that would have been neat to walk down but it was locked up for some reason. It was a a clear, sunny day though so we could see the islands and mountains in the distance.

Then right by the marina was the beach that we walked around. I love listening to the water and just enjoying the outdoors.

Baby Smith Update

I try and do little things weekly to prepare for the arrival of our little one. On Monday I picked out a car seat which made it a little more real and exciting. I also got some fabric to make her a blessing dress which will be a fun project for me to work on.
This past weekend we found this bathtub at the Good will for $5. It is practically new and just needs a little bit of clean up.
Today I had an ultrasound and Nate and I got to see our cute little girl. It was so fun to see her cute little body and all her features. She is now 5 lbs 5 oz and has the cutest, most chubby cheeks, and quite a bit of hair. It was so fun to see her wiggle around and move her lips and I can't wait to meet her in about 5 weeks.

(The top and bottom pictures are of her straight on so you can see her chubby cheeks. The second one is of her feet and the third is a profile shot.)
