TGIFF

Today's Friday Feature  is someone who had a birthday this week so I thought it would be perfect timing to post about her.

Margaret Smith or Nona

Margaret is the best mother-in-law a person could ask for. She is very caring, loving, and genuinely kind. I am very grateful to her for raising such an amazing son and being an incredible example to him of what a mother is. I am very grateful to be a Smith and that I get to be a part of such an amazing family. She is an amazing mother and grandmother. I am so grateful that my children get to have a grandma like her. She is creative and always has such good ideas. She can talk to anyone and can always get to know everyone's stories through simple conversation and letting them feel comfortable. I am very grateful for this amazing women's influence in my life and that I get to learn from her all the time.

Birthday Play Date: Wyatt and Paige

Paige and I have had so much fun with Julia and Wyatt. Our little ones are about a week apart so we decided to have a birthday play date. It is always so much fun to talk with Julia and just let the kiddos have fun playing together.
Paige and Wyatt had so much fun together. They still kind of play side by side instead of with each other but they are getting better and they had fun playing with all the toys.
We had lunch together and played some more and then we each got gifts for each other and had the little ones open their presents and have cupcakes.
Looking at herself in her new mirror.
So excited to get a new Minnie Mouse figurine.
 Kisses. So sweet.
We first sang to Wyatt and had him blow out his candles and then we put candles in Paige's cupcakes but you could tell she was scared so we just sang to her without lighting her candles. Then they dug right in and enjoyed their cupcakes.
We had lots of fun and can't wait until next time!

A Minnie Mouse Birthday Party

I can't believe that my little baby is 2! Time flies when you're having fun. She is such a joy in Nate and I's lives and she means more than anything to us. Paige talks a lot and speaks very well for how young she is. Strangers wouldn't know this because she is very shy. She loves to be outside and play with her cousins. She is all girl- loves pink, necklaces, Minnie Mouse, princesses, baby dolls and Barbies. She also loves to color and look at books. She will repeat the night prayer when she wants to but won't do it at any other time. She eats pretty good and right now her favorites are cheese, hot dogs, yogurt, applesauce, spaghetti, any dinner that involves cheese or is dipped in Ranch, and anything sweet. She is very busy and loves to tease. She is so much fun and I am so grateful that Heavenly Father sent her to me and that I get to be her mama.

Our cute two year old.
We had a Minnie Mouse birthday party and it was so much fun to plan. When she got up in the morning she had two balloons to enjoy- one with Minnie Mouse on it and the other with princesses on it. She absolutely loved them!

While Paige was taking her nap Nate and I decorated her birthday cake. I had this idea in my head of how to do the cake and was afraid it was not going to turn out very good but Nate and I make a great team. The cake turned out so cute and I was very impressed with how good it looked.
Anna and Scott and their family came over for the party and after dinner we played pin the bow on Minnie.

Everyone got a bow to color and write their name on.
Cheese ball!
When everyone was coming over to play the game Paige went over with her bow and put it exactly where it was suppose to go but once we got started and she saw me with the tie over my eyes she wanted nothing to do with it. She was scared of the tie so everyone else went and she just watched. When it was her turn I had to hold her and do it for her.
Paige got spoiled (or according to my mom- not spoiled just loved lots). She got so many presents and loved every single one of them. Every present she opened she would say open it. She did pretty good at ripping the paper and I just helped her when she asked.
She was very excited about her new Minnie Mouse that she got from Anna and Scott. This picture is Paige making Minnie dance.
She was also very excited about getting a new baby doll. She loves holding it and feeding her the bottle. We asked her what her baby's name was and she said baby doll. It is so sweet to she her being so nurturing and loving.
Paige seeing her cake for the first time. She loved it!
Paige was not impressed with the candles and I blew them out for her. She loved the cake and for breakfast this morning and for lunch when we ask her what she wants to eat she says Minnie cake.
Paige with all her presents. She is definitely loved by all her family.
Happy Birthday little one! I love you with my all heart!

Nate's First Blog Post.

Yes its true I, Nate, hacked into Bethany's blog without her knowledge. I thought that it would be a good idea to also have her featured in the first TGIFF (see post below if you are confused). So here it goes...

BETHANY SUE SMITH

Many of you I'm sure know Bethany and would say that she is a loving and caring individual. I can honestly say that she is the best mother and wife that anyone could ask for. I met her while we were both attending school at BYU-Idaho and early into our dating relationship I knew that I wanted to marry her because of the qualities she has. Not only is she awesome and cute but she can cook too! I love seeing her as a mother and teaching Paige how to be a good girl. I love being able to wake up next to her and falling asleep next to her everyday. She is funny, smart, and talented.
 I love her.

P.S. - Bethany, if you dont want me to post again on your blog you might want to change your password.

TGIFF

Nate and I were talking last night and he had this really good idea. We talked about how most people like to be complimented and told what they mean to someone. His idea was that I feature someone important in my life and why they are important to me once a week on my blog. We then talked about what I should call this weekly update and thus the title of this post. I know you are thinking that I made a typo and added an extra F but it stands for Thank Goodness It's Feature Friday. I got the idea of calling the title something to do with TGIF because growing up I watched TGIF and loved shows like Boys Meet World. I looked forward to Friday every day and most adults always look forward to Friday. So the connection is that the people that I feature are people that I look forward to being with and thus the name. There is the background and now here is my first TGIFF blog post.

Of course I had to choose the person who gave me this idea and who is super duper important to me- Nate.
He truly is perfect for me. He makes me smile and laugh everyday. He is the best daddy to Paige. He is constantly making her laugh and smile and Paige has become such a tease because of her daddy. He is my rock. Whenever I am having a hard time with something he always knows what to say. He is very helpful and is willing to help me in whatever I am doing. I am so grateful that we found each other and that we have each other forever. I cannot imagine myself being with anyone else and I am very grateful he picked me. I love our late night talks. I just love spending time with him and I am very grateful that I have eternity to spend time with him. He is definitely worth featuring on my blog because he is so important to me and will always be.

Outdoor Adventure

Yesterday we watched this little guy for a good part of the day.
After lunch Nate took Paige and Brett outside for a little bit and they sure had some fun.
First they fed the squirrels.
Then they were off on their own little adventure.
Brett had a "map" to lead the way.
They went all sorts of places.
I am sure they will have many more adventure together.

Nice Weather

We have had some really nice weather and it has been so nice to enjoy some time outside.

The other day we went to Clark Lake. I had never been there before and it was really nice to walk around and enjoy the beautiful weather. The lake is very pretty and it was nice to enjoy the nature and get away from busy life.
It was nice for quite a few days so one day we did some yard work and even got to see a deer walking through the trees.
Paige even helped out with the yard work and helped me rake leaves.
And when we aren't outside this is what our little one is doing....
Fake sleeping
Typing on the computer. She is usually pretty sneaky about getting on the computer because she isn't usually allowed on it unless one of us is helping her.
