Sunshine and Chickens

This past weekend and the first of this week has been absolutely beautiful weather. We hit high 70's and we have been outside as much as possible despite Paige and I both having colds. Baylor has been the most excited about going outside more and more. Once she hears the word outside she gets her shoes and is ready to go out. She would be outside all day if I let her.  I love the sun shining down and soaking it all in. These two girls of mine are also my constant sunshine despite the weather outside. I love being their mom and they bring me so much joy. They are both as cute as can be and makes me smile everyday.
Baylor is constantly on the go and she is so happy all the time. She is the busiest little girl who is always moving, getting into something, or climbing on something. She gives the cutest cheesy smiles. She does know how to throw a fit if she isn't getting her way and knows how to communicate by making noises and pointing. She makes everyone around her smile especially me.
I love that cheesy, toothy smile and that little gap makes it that much more perfect!
Paige is my sweet, sensitive girl. She is very empathetic and is the best big sister. She is my constant helper and the best sidekick. She is so very creative, brave, loves to be outside and exploring. She is shy but so very kind. She finds joy in the simple things of life and I can't believe that she will be 7 tomorrow! Why does time have to go by so fast and kids have to grow up way too fast?
Paige was picking these flowers and then putting them on the branch of the maple tree. She tricked Dad and Pops with her flowers. They both were so confused and were wondering what kind of tree it was and had never noticed that it flowered before. :)
Our car got a nice wash since it was nice out. Paige loves to help Nate with this job. They do the outside and I clean the inside. We all make one great team.
Baylor loved to watch and thought it was funny when she would get some mist from the water. When she saw the bucket of suds she got a big smile on her face. She would slowly inch closer to it and you could tell she wanted to touch it but wasn't sure if she was supposed to. She would go a little closer and look up at me and smile. Once she realized she could get into she was in heaven putting the scrubber in the bubbles and poking the bubbles. She also really liked the water dripping off the car and would put her hand under the drip to "catch" the water.
This past week and continuing this week we get to go gather eggs from our neighbors chickens while our neighbors are out of town. Both the girls love it so much! I hope that I can have chickens one day when I have my own house. When we say lets go see the chickens, Baylor gets super excited and heads right to the door and starts making chicken sounds. She knows the way over and now whenever we play outside she likes to wander over to the neighbor's yard and check to see if either gate is open to go in their backyard to the chickens. Paige always helps her over the bridge that is in the backyard and Paige has a chicken egg apron that she got from the neighbor last time we gathered eggs for them.  It has been something that we all look forward to each day.
