10 Months

On the 1st Baylor reached the 10 month old milestone. The time is truly going by way too fast and before I know it she will be a year old and not a baby anymore. She brings so much joy to our family and we love our little Baylor so much. I am so grateful for miracles especially this one!
Here's what Baylor is up to at 10 months:

  • The past few days she has finally figured out how to crawl. It is the cutest and funniest crawl. She looks like a little monkey. She used her arms mostly and has one foot pushing off the ground and her other leg is curled under her.
  • We saw that her first tooth poked through also a few days ago. It is one of her top front ones. It looks like the bottom two are pretty close too. It makes me sad when they get their teeth because I love the toothless gum smile.
  • She is still not that great of an eater with solid foods. There are days when I feel like I will have to nurse her forever since she doesn't like to eat other food. The past week she has gotten a little bit better and has started to realize she can put things in her own mouth to eat. Before she hasn't really put anything in her mouth ever so this is progress. Her favorite baby food is banana and she is pretty picky with other foods and it all depends on the day.
  • She loves the water and bath or shower time and being outside. She is most content when she is outside especially on a walk in the stroller.
  • She is getting pretty vocal. She loves to babble especially in the car, when she is waiting for someone to get her out of her crib, and at church (though she is pretty loud so at church sometimes it can be too loud). I love it when she is in the car and has "conversations" with us. She will make a noise and we will make a noise back and it goes back and forth and is pretty cute. If she is in another room she will do the same thing to hear you and see if you are nearby. Her favorite word is mama and she says a word that sounds like hi when she is waving.
  • She loves to clap and wave. She waves to random people at the park and at the store and everyone loves it. If we are watching a game show or another TV show where there is clapping she will always join in.
  • She is still a horrible sleeper and has yet to sleep through the night. She insists on nursing to go back to sleep. She usually wakes up about every 3 hours, 4 if I am lucky.
  • She has the cutest fuzzy hair that likes to stick up. She won't keep headbands in anymore so I can't wait until her hair is long enough to get a little ponytail in it.
  • She gets super excited when you go over to her and she thinks she is going to get picked up and gets super disappointed and will whine and cry if you don't pick her up.
  • She loves to be chased even though she can't get away yet but I am sure will start crawling away once she gets better at crawling.
  • She doesn't like to be left alone in a room. If she is distracted by a toy or Baby Einstein on the TV then you can sneak away for a little bit.
  • She has what I call her crazy legs. She kicks them when she is excited. She kicks them when she is mad especially when you are changing her diaper. She loves to kick toys and anything that is by her feet when she is done playing with it.
  • She is pretty smiley but can also be serious when someone is trying to get her to smile. She has the cutest laugh but is very particular about what she laughs at. She loves to tease Paige especially by grabbing her hair.
  • She is already pretty good at throwing fits and will throw her head back. It is not fun when you are holding her and she does this especially when her head hits your chest. She has hit her head on the ground a few times so hopefully one of these days she will figure out that flinging her head back is not a good idea.
  • She has the most kissable cheeks but does't like to be kissed and is not cuddly at all must to Nate's dismay.
  • She loves to copy you- if you clap or wave she will do it back. We snap and it is so cute to watch her try and figure that one out. The cutest one right how is we use our finger to move our lips while making a sound and she will copy you and it is so cute when she does it.
More cute pictures of our cute 10 month old. The stickers don't stay on anymore since she immediately rips them off. :)

You can really tell how fuzzy her hair is in the middle picture.
Her first tooth sticker that she was taking off as the picture was being taken. :)
Both Paige and Baylor did this- they scrunch their noses and blow out of it. It is the cutest thing and I had to do a side by side pictures of both of them. My babies look a lot alike!
