We have been doing so many fun Easter things these past two weekends. We now have WAY too much candy in our house but we had so much fun with family and friends.
Last week on Friday, Addison and Kinsley came over and they had fun playing together and we also did a little Easter egg hunt with them.
They were all so excited and getting a picture of them especially Paige and Addison was hard since they were moving so fast.
It was a fun day for these sweet friends!
Then I was able to pull off such a fun surprise for Nona's 70th birthday. Last Saturday I got all of her kids and most of the grandkids to show up for a surprise birthday party. They all parked at the park so they could all see Nona's reaction and it was so fun and sweet to see her reaction as we all walked over the hill singing Happy Birthday to her.
We then had a big cousin Easter egg hunt like we have in years past. Originally it was planned to have our annual egg hunt with Anna and Scott's family which helped make it easier to plan the surprise party since a plan was already in place. So I just had to secretly fill a lot more eggs than planned and keep them hidden until it was time for the egg hunt. I had them all divided up into colors so that way the eggs could be hidden according to age. It was fun to have so many kids participate and was amazing to be with family.
Then part of the surprise was the Nona got to go out to dinner with just her kids while I watched the girls and Scott watched the boys. It was a great arrangement and everyone had fun at there different places.
We then had cake and ice cream and to finish off a wonderful evening I put put together a slide show of pictures of Nona throughout the years. It was great for her kids and grandkids to tell stories of her life growing up and meeting Pops and all the fun and memorable times in her life and to see all the important people in her life.
Then our Easter fun continued this weekend with dying eggs on Friday. Both girls loved it and Baylor went quickly and had fun playing in the dye and Paige was more precise in doing different techniques and colors.
General conference and Easter weekend were the same this year. So it was a nice and relaxing weekend with lots of time spent together as a family. We had beautiful weather and the girls and I got invited between the two sessions on Saturday to go to a friend's house for yet another Easter egg hunt. It was amazing to visit with friends from the ward that I haven't seen in a long time due to not having ward activities due to Covid. It was so nice to sit and soak up the sun, visit, and watch the kids had fun playing together.
Happy Easter! The Easter bunny hid our baskets and we waited for Dad to find them. Paige was very excited and ready for find them as soon as Nate came downstairs. We enjoyed Sunday conference with some Lego playing and enjoying the things in our Easter baskets. We loved listening to talks about our Savior and it helped us have a more Christlike Easter.
Then Sunday after conference we went on a trillium hunt. We have done this in years past that once we start to see the trillium in the yard we got walk through the forest by our house and see how many we can find. There were so many and we got excited over every one that we found. It was another gorgeous day and was so nice to be out and doing something outside.
Happy Easter! We are so grateful for the Atonement and Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We are grateful for the knowledge to brings us and I am eternally grateful that I get to be together with this sweet family of mine forever and for always.
