In recent years I heard a quote that I love and truly describes how I feel about going on walks/hikes especially here in the Northwest: "And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul." (By: John Muir). Walks here are truly magical with the moss on the trees and all the undergrowth. It is so green and breathtaking! This past week we have had beautiful weather and parks and state parks are now open for walking so we took full advantage.
One day we went to Flaming Geyser State Park to have a picnic, walk on the trails, and throw rocks in the river. It was so wonderful and a much needed day out away from the norm.
I mean just look at that picture on the left- breathtaking, green, and definitely soul soothing!
Baylor loved the water and it all started with throwing rocks in, then to shoes off to put her feet in, and then of course her clothes were getting wet so best to strip down to the diaper. :)
Then another outdoor adventure on a different day, we went and walked around at Soos Creek Botanical Gardens. The spring flowers were in full force and it was gorgeous!
Then our last outing that we went on last week, we checked out a new place that we have never been to- Lake Fenwick. It is a small lake for fishing that has some trails around it. We loved looking at the water especially since we saw two different broods of baby ducks. They were so cute and it makes you want to catch one and take them home with you. We also saw quite a bit of fish in the water varying in all sorts of sizes.
Another glorious walk and adventure!
