Nate and Bethany: 9 Months

9 Months

9 months old!!! How is time going by so fast?

Here is what Baylor is up to at 9 months:

She is 15 lbs 9 oz (9th percentile); 39th percentile for height and 65th percentile for head circumference
She is a pro at sitting up and is really good at reaching far for things and then sitting back up. She also loves to turn in circles and scoots on her bum a little to get things. She wants to grab everything in sight.
She is always on the go and when you pick her up then she sees something and tries to turn around and twist to grab whatever she sees.
She is really good at rolling from her belly to her back and occasionally will go from her back to belly.
She still is not crawling or scooting since she hates to be on her tummy and once she is on her tummy will immediately roll back over to her back.
She loves to mimic what you do- waving, clapping, noises, banging her hands on the table, or knocking two things together to make a sound.
She loves to babble and make noises when she is in the mood.
Still no teeth but is getting better at eating baby food.
She is pretty shy and has really bad stranger danger. She will smile at strangers but once they touch her or hold her she bursts into crying.
She loves Paige! She is always looking to see where she is and what she is doing. It makes breastfeeding a little bit hard and I usually have to go in another room so that Baylor will eat and Paige isn't distracting her.
She still loves the water- showers, bath, playing in the lake, etc.
She loves to be outside and pick up whatever is around her- dirt, rocks, grass, leaves, pine cones. She also doesn't really put anything in her mouth which is awesome for me.
She still isn't that great of a sleeper. I have been trying to let her cry it out a little bit more. At night she usually goes to bed around 8:30, wakes up at around 2 to eat, and then again at 5 to eat before waking up around 8. It is better than every 2 hours and we are making progress. She is a really good napper though and I now can just lay her down in her crib for nap and bedtime and she puts herself to sleep.
She loves to pull Nate and Paige's hair and thinks it is fun to poke her eyes and put her fingers in their noses and mouths. She is already a little tease and can through little fits when she doesn't get her way.
