Happy Birthday Nate

The most amazing and funny guy was born on June 5th and we had fun celebrating him on Monday. While Nate was at work and after Paige was done with preschool, Paige and I spent the afternoon making all sorts of signs and decorations for Nate to surprise him when he got home.

Paige wanted something is every room that Nate normally goes in so first was our bedroom and Paige created this cute sign for his side of the bed and placed the balloons just right.
Then a bathroom mirror birthday greeting.
This was again Paige's idea. We did this for her birthday and she loved it so of course dad needed a door of streamers to go through on his birthday too.
I printed all these letters off and Paige and I had fun coloring and decorating each letter.
Then last we have three doors right next to each other and so each door got a sign and we wrote things that we love about Nate or things we love to do with him. It was Paige's creative little mind that put them together. The first one she created a jar of peanut butter with spoons coming out of it and each spoon had one of the reasons on it. The second one was just a rectangle to glue them on and last was jerky and each piece of jerky had one of the reasons on it. That little girl has one creative mind.
The handsome birthday boy ready to party. I am so grateful for Nate in my life. He is perfect for me and I could not ask for a better husband.
Paige was ready to party too.
The Smith tradition of dragging the candles through the frosting. Everyone gets quite a few candles when you have that many candles. :)
Margaret wanted a picture with her birthday boy and of course this is what we get.
Then Tuesday was one of the hottest days this week so we had another party and had dinner and water games.
I found some games we could play with water and cups and it was really fun. First we played one with a cup with holes it to see who could get the most water in their bucket and then this one you stood in a line and dumped the water behind you and the person behind you had to catch as much as they could into their cup.
Then this one you had to hold the cup of water on your head and dump the water into the cup of the next person who has their cup on their stomach. This one was really fun and the water was really cold on your stomach.
We then played duck, duck, goose but the person who was "it" had a cup of water and who they picked for goose they would dump the cup of water on them. This was another really fun one especially the anticipation of waiting for the cup of water to be dumped on you.
We then did a quick water balloon toss and whatever what left ended in a water balloon fight. It was a fun and relaxing evening and a perfect day to be outside and getting wet. We ended the evening with a fire and smores. It was a fun two day party!
