So the main reason we went to Idaho was for the funeral and those few days of seeing family and honoring Grandpa Peterson were really good. We stayed for about a week after this and we enjoyed our time in Idaho.
We flew to Boise and then rented a car there. We got a cute little Beetle.
Monday we went to Rexburg to have dinner with Nate's cousin, Michelle, and her family. We went up a little early so we could drive around Rexburg and see the places where we lived and reminisced. We went to Smith Park and had to take some pictures at the Party Wagon (the place Nate proposed to me).
Wednesday we went up to Rigby. We went through and got some more stuff at my Grandma and Grandpa Peterson's house. I got some more fabric and Nate got lots of church books. Amanda showed us all her animals which Paige loved- we saw some cats, dogs, cows, sheep, and bunnies. We then went over to Grandma and Grandpa Walker's house and helped them out by pruning their trees.
By the time we were done and headed home Paige was super tired. She was too tired to even take her sucker out of her mouth. :)
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday we watched Charlotte, Juliette, and Emily. It was nice enough one day to enjoy some time outside. Paige loved having someone to play with and entertain her.
We had fun outside attempting to fly a kite (it was too windy and the kite was going crazy), blow bubbles, feed the chickens, going down the slide, and drawing with chalk.
Friday we headed to Boise around noon. We took the scenic route and it took us quite awhile to get to Boise but it was a fun trip.
Our first stop was in Burley. Nate's Grandma Smith was born and raised here and later lived here with her husband and first two kids. This is the elementary school she went to growing up.
We found the street that some Knight (Grandma Smith's side) relatives live and lived on.
Then we made our way to Balanced Rock. We took quite a few wrong turns trying to find it but eventually we made it and hiked up to it. It is pretty cool to see!
We were going to stop in Hagerman to see the state fossil but ran out of time. So we made our way to Boise and stayed with relatives and now we are back in Washington. It was a fun trip!
