It was another fun week of preschool! This week was the letter C, and we started with a cow paper plate craft. I drew the spots and then had McCall cut them out. She glued on all the different pieces and drew the nose holes. It turned out so cute!
Then, Tuesday we started with a cloud craft. She drew some rain and then glued on cotton balls for the letter C cloud.
Then we had some fun with corn kernels. First, we did a little science experiment. She mixed baking soda into water and then stirred in some corn kernels.
Then she got a small cup of vinegar to pour in. She was a little unsure about the chemical reaction and I did enough so that it bubbled over. She did really enjoy watching the corn move up and down or "dance" in the water. She even wanted to show her Paw Patrol stuffed animals the dancing corn.
Then she did a corn sensory bin. I had pom poms and a few things in it along with some bowls, cups, and a funnel.
On Wednesday it was our car day. She first painted a picture with cars by putting the car wheels in paint and driving it on a large piece of paper.
Then she did a car wash. She really enjoyed this and by the end her clothes were soaking wet but she sure had fun!
Thursday, she made a caterpillar out of the letter C. I traced all the circles and then I cut out the purple ones and she cut out the orange ones. Every time we glued one on, I would say the pattern on the colors to see if she could understand the pattern and know which color to glue on next. She did pretty good with this. Then she drew the legs and the face on her cute caterpillar.
Then we made some cookies. We made some peanut butter cookies that we took to Dad to enjoy with his co-workers. She loves helping me cook, especially cookies!
