Letter X

This week was not the best preschool week but we got three days in. It is hard at times to do preschool with a new baby but Paige has been a great helper and Baylor always asks what we are doing for preschool so I know she still enjoys it. X is a hard letter anyways for doing activities with but we had fun with the things that we did do.

Our first day she did her usual letter tracing

Then our word for the day was xylophone- she first played on the small xylophone that we have as we sang all sorts of song.

Then she did an xylophone craft. She drew all the rectangles and then cut them out and put them in the order that she wanted.

Our second day our focus was x-ray. I showed her a picture of an actual x-ray and we talked about how it helps you see broken bones. Then she made her own x-ray by tracing her hands with a white crayon on black paper. Then for her bones, she used Q-tips and glue.
Our last day was a fun one and I created a map with X marking the spot of the treasure. The map had her going different places in the house and completing an activity before moving onto the next part of her map.
First she had to make her bed (with much complaining might I add), then she played a game with me, then built a tower with Legos, and then went outside and rode her scooter.
Then last she found the X in the backyard and dug up her treasure. Thanks goes to Paige for putting together some treasure for her to find and burying it.
Only two more letters and we made it through the whole alphabet!
