Fourteen

Paige turned 14 on March 22nd! How is she that old? She is an incredible teenager and I love being her mom. She is fun to window shop with and I love our conversations in the front seat. She loves to poke fun at the weird things her parents do (especially her mom) and we dish it right back. She is a night owl and loves to stay up and have her back rubbed. She loves to read and is often getting new books from the library. She is a great student and is very organized and stays on top of homework and school life all on her own. She loves self care. She is growing into such a beautiful young women that has confidence and grace. She is incredibly kind and is very aware when I am at my wit's end and will step in and help in any way. She loves to babysit her little sisters and comes up with the best activities. She loves music especially Benson Boone. She loves little bins and things to keep all her things organized. She takes forever to clean her room because she often gets distracted with all the fun things in her room. She enjoys tinkering on the piano and the guitar. She has the most amazing hair. She loves going thrift shopping with dad and loves to come home and show off all her treasures. She is a saver of any money she gets and has to think hard about it before spending it. She loves having her own room and own space to go to. She is the best big sister and our favorite oldest daughter. She is pretty incredible and we love her so much!

She had a fun birthday party the week before her birthday with a few close friends. She truly has such kind friends and they had fun painting tote bags and playing minute to win it games. Paige did all the set up and planning herself and they all had so much fun.

Her friends were so kind to Baylor and McCall. They were sweet as McCall showed them all of her Paw Patrol stuffed animals and they let Baylor join in on the fun. Paige chose to do snow cones for her birthday dessert and they all enjoyed it and it was one of her friend's first times having a snow cone. Paige was super sweet and let McCall open up all her presents. She got some fun stuff and lots of candy to add to her stash.
Tote bags all done! They sure are a fun group of girls!
Then for Paige's actual birthday, she got lucky and had cousins in town. Derek and Amy's family arrived the day before for a week of fun for their spring break. Paige's birthday was such a nice day. We had church in the morning and Lizzy taught the lesson and since it was Paige's birthday, she made smores cookies and Paige got three while the rest of us all got one. Then it was beautiful weather so we enjoyed time outside as family before the birthday party in the evening. Her birthday dessert request was donuts and we had plenty to enjoy. Bill, Dorie, and Ike were up visiting Dale and Margaret so they joined the party along with Anna and Scott's family.
She wanted to light her own candles and I was impressed that she got all 14 candles to fit on one donut.
She got some fun gifts and extra cash with all the family in town. She felt special and loved and it was a wonderful day celebrating our favorite 14 year old!
