Kilt-O-Sac of Fire 2016

The Smith's always do a rockin' fourth of July and I love celebrating it with them and that I get to be a part of the tradition. All the fun and action is why the fourth of July is Nate's favorite holiday. For the city of Kent they put a ban on fireworks which means this is the last year for fireworks which is sad but we had lots of fun.

Nate and Paige went to the reservation to buy all our fireworks and they did really great this year with bargaining and getting a good deal. Then after lunch we headed over to Nona and Papa' house for the big celebration.

When everyone first got there it was a bit chaotic since all the kids were riding bikes and kids were zipping past you every few seconds.
Then the firework circle process began.
It was this cute girl's first fourth of July.
And on to the chalk drawing. Paige loved this part and stayed longer than most kids adding all sorts of artwork.
The craziness and fun of it all.
Letting people know not to drive and get in our way. :)
Aaron drew stars in the middle circle design and Paige started drawing her own stars and was very proud of her work.
The firework circle design. It is amazing every year!
 The whole group.
And of course a silly one. When we were looking at the pictures Paige thought it was funny that her and I did the same silly face even though we didn't plan it.
The firework lighting always starts with the smoke bomb ring.
Paige did amazing this year. She really got into and enjoyed it. This is the first year that she stayed down by the circle the entire time. Adam's daughter Madeline was very helpful in this since she loved it all and Paige loved being with her.
Paige really liked the pop-its.
It rained for a little bit but didn't last long
The dessert I make every year and oh it is so good!
After a while of everyone taking turns lighting fireworks then it was time for the snake pit.
Circled around watching all the snakes grow.
Then they did the tank wars.
Look at that smile of Nate. He loves the Fourth of July!
The one firework that Paige specifically asked for was the parachute guy. She even helped Nate light it and helped him catch it.
The three girls had so much fun dancing and jumping in some smoke bombs.
I told her to smile for the camera and I got this cute little pose.
 And another little cutie.
And the third cutie with her firework backpack.
Nona even did some fireworks this year.
I prefer watching the lighting of fireworks but I did light a few.
Then once the sun went down we headed over to the lake and watching the big firework display over the water. This was Paige's favorite part of the whole day.
Then Aaron sent up this lantern after we got back and everyone headed home. It was such a great day and we had so much fun!
