Nate turned 29 last Thursday and we had a big family party. All of my siblings were there and we had a delicious dinner and then Nate opened his presents. Paige enjoying helping him and especially loved that he got some jerky. About every day so far she has brought it to us to have a piece. It makes Nate happy to have his little jerky loving girl because I am not much of a fan of jerky.
Then we had an awesome water balloon fight. Nate and I prepared for this all day. We had gotten 1000 biodegradable water balloons a few days earlier and we were busy filling them up and after a little bit some of them started to pop. We felt them and they were all starting to feel like gel. So we stopped filling them up about after about 500 and went to the store to find more. We first went to Shelley and couldn't find any and so we went to Blackfoot to Wal-mart and got about 200. By the time we got back every single one of the water balloons we had filled up had popped. So we were busy filling up the ones we had bought that weren't biodegradable but I had to start making dinner so Nate got to quite a bit of it by himself. It was all worth it though once we started throwing them. It was super fun. We first to a water balloon toss and then the water balloon fight- first on teams and then a free for all.
Our little cheerleaders.
Juliette loved this water balloon and carried it around the entire night.
Then we played a couple's croquet game. In the Peterson family we play cross-country croquet which is putting the wickets all over the yard instead of the standard course. We always have fun and we all are a little bit competitive.
Nate and I won! And Nate was pretty excited to win on his birthday.
