8 Months

Happy 8 months Baylor Morgan! She is just the happiest little baby and everyone that sees her thinks she is just so cute and I have to completely agree.
Here is what Baylor is up to at 8 months:

  • She is so happy and is very quick to smile.
  • She is pretty bad stranger danger. She is fine in mom and dad's arms but once someone else picks her up the tears and crying come quick. If someone is at our house she warms up much quicker.
  • She loves to be on the move and grabs everything that she can.
  • She is a pro at sitting up. She can also move from sitting to being on her tummy pretty good and face plants just occasionally. She rolls really good from her belly to her back and has a few times rolled the other way.
  • I took a break from giving her solid foods for awhile because she was just not getting it and spit mostly everything out. The past few days though I tried again and she is doing so much better. She loves ice cream though and when someone will share with her she smacks her lips and her tongue on her lips and will try and get a bigger bite each time.
  • She loves to pick up the smallest things with her fingers. She finds all sorts of little things in the carpet.
  • She hasn't figured out the putting everything in her mouth yet which I am grateful for.
  • She still is not that great of a sleeper and wakes up about every 3 hours. I know I will have to most likely train her but just don't know how to do it. I am not a fan of her crying it out for too long in the middle of the night when I can feed her and she goes right back to sleep. She is a really good napper though.
  • She loves to get her feet involved when she is holding onto stuff. She picks up and throws things with her feet.
  • She has become quite talkative and likes to squeal and grunt and makes all sorts of noises.
  • She gets really excited when you are taking her out of her car seat and when someone comes in the door or the room that she will think will pick her up.

She loves to do this with her tongue and making a "smacking" sound.
The longer you wait for something, the more you'll appreciate it when you get it because anything worth having is definitely worth waiting for. I am excited that Baylor is big enough to wear this onesie because she was so worth the wait!
I love her beautiful eyes that are taking in everything around her. We still can't decide what color they are- hazel, light brown, or a dark grey blue- I think more hazel.
We love this little baby of ours!
