So here is my last post of our adventures with Aaron and the kids while they were here. We went to the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. There was a lady in our ward that happened to give Margaret a bunch of tickets to the zoo right before Aaron and the kids came. It was perfect timing and we are all very grateful to her for thinking of us. This zoo is pretty big and we spent about 5-6 hours there. We packed a lunch and it was a fun-filled day looking at all the animals.
We took so many pictures of the animals so here is two collages of just some of the animals that we got to see. Some of our favorites were the gorillas, the orangutans, the grizzly bears, and the lions (just to name a few. It was all pretty cool to see. Can I just say that I love going to the zoo. :).
Paige loved seeing all the animals and climbing everywhere and wandering as much as we allowed her to.
The kids loved to pose on all the different animal structures.
Blake liked picking the animal statute's noses.
They even had some farm animals and a petting area. We didn't stay there long but Paige had no fear trying to feed the animals rocks and whatever else she could find.
Two cute girls- Lily and Paige had so much fun together throughout the week. Lily is a great helper and loved to entertain Paige.
After lunch Paige got tired enough to actually take a short nap. I am glad she took this small nap because it was the only one she had for the day. By the end of the day we were all tired but a good tired.
Getting a closer look at some of the animals.
The older kids all got to feed some of the birds. They each got a popsicle stick that had some bird feed on the end and the birds would climb onto the stick and enjoy a snack while you were holding it. I think this was one of their favorite parts.
It was a great, fun-filled day!
