We are in Idaho for the next 2 weeks and decided to come a little early so that we could be a part of my family's 4th of July party this year. It was so much fun and the kids were playing outside and with each other the entire day. Paige was in cousin heaven and Baylor was leery the entire day and pretty much kept to herself. It was so nice that the kids just played while the adults visited.
Amy rented a bounce house and had a pool in the back yard which was perfect for all the kids and all the different ages.
These three would go back and forth from the pool to the hot cement to warm up.
More pool fun!
And more warming up.
Baylor loved the swing and we would push her some but after awhile we wouldn't want to push her the entire time so she would go on her belly and just go back and forth. She pretty much kept to herself but when we were inside she found a new friend in Derek and Amy's dog.
Some bounce house fun!
We had a barbecue and desserts and we had the traditional flag cake.
Then it was time for fireworks!
We started off with pop its and smoke bombs and then once it got a little darker the kids did sparklers.
I loved watching the younger kids's excitement for all the fireworks especially Bria.
Then we lit a couple boxes of snakes.
The kids absolutely loved them and they thought they were the coolest thing ever to watch them grow.
Baylor loved the pretty lights of all the fireworks but not the noise. The entire time she would point or tell me about one but was happy to have her ears covered with her blanket on her. The only thing she really liked was the pop its.
As the sun went down it was more of the fun fountains and flowers. All the kids loved taking turns lighting the fireworks and I loved hearing the oohs and ahhs with each one. The younger kids really are the most fun with their excitement over everything.
Loved spending the day with all of them!
Happy 4th of July!
