We had a fun time with the letter D last week!
We started the week off by going in the morning to get a donut for breakfast on Monday and Paige got to eat it while watching Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. And if you are wondering that is stamps all over Paige's arms and face. :)
Dot stickers and some coloring of things that start with D.
Then she made a dinosaur that she painted and helped me cut out some of the pieces.
Tuesday was our duck day. She made this D duck.
And then we had a little puppet show. We took turned singing the song "Five Little Ducks" and I had this mama duck and the 5 babies.
It was the perfect week for feeding ducks because one mama had seven baby ducks that we got to feed and see all of their cuteness.
Wednesday Paige did some digging. I was going to get some dirt but it has been wet and most of the dirt outside is moist with lots of bugs that would freak Paige out. So I opted for some flour that she could dig in. I made some bones that half of them had things that started with the letter D and the others started with A, B, or C. She had fun finding them all and then organizing them into different categories. After we were done with the digging she played in the flour for a good hour and a half.
I needed to do some shopping so Paige made a quick thank you card for Nate and we went shopping and then found out where he was working to visit him for a minute.
She colored the cars/trucks/boats on the bottom green and blue because "they are Seahawks colors and Dad loves the Seahawks."
We took him his card and some jerky. We always love seeing daddy!
Then we made some dirt cups to enjoy for a snack.
Thursday Paige helped me create this paper bag dog. Then we took turns feeding the bones that she dug up yesterday and feeding him only the ones that started with the letter D.
Then she did some dancing. Paige loves dancing and does it on a daily basis but I got the camera out today since dancing starts with d. I love this shot that I got of her- she is my spinning and twirling girls. According to Paige it is a spin if you go one way and a twirl if you go the other.
Friday and Saturday were busy days so on Sunday we finished up out D crafts/activities.
She made some dandelions.
And then she did an alphabet matching game with the uppercase letters on the dinosaurs and the lower case letters were on the dinosaur eggs.
It was a fun letter D week with my little preschooler!
