New Hair Do
I got my hair done on Friday by Nate's cousin, Michelle. I wanted a change and wanted it to be more blonde. I also got it trimmed a little and layered a little.
Before picture.
During the process- Nate like watching how it all got done and said I should keep it like this. :)Before picture.
The after pictures! It has taken me a few days to get used to being a blonde but I really love it and it is a fun change and I know Nate really likes it. Thanks so much Michelle!
I went over to see my friend Judy today and see her very cute little boy. He is so adorable and maybe barely two weeks old. It was fun to hold him and let him sleep in my arms. I am having a baby shower with my friends near Christmas and Judy won't be able to make it so she was so sweet and go me these cute gifts. They are so cute and adorable !

Thanksgiving Break
For Thanksgiving break we flew to Washington to be home for the week. It was so nice to not think about school, relax, eat lots, and enjoy time with family.
We went Thrift Store shopping one day and Margaret found these straw glasses and Mikey got to try them out.
For Thanksgiving dinner I got put in charge of making the veggie tray. Margaret found this fun idea and I got to put it all together.
Time to Eat!
Kid's table
Big Kid table- Thanksgiving dinner was so good and I ate WAY to much!
Later in the evening, once the food had somewhat settled we enjoyed lots of yummy dessert. There was apple, pumpkin, and blackberry pie and I even made a pumpkin roll for the first time and it turned out really yummy.

This year I experienced Black Friday shopping for the first time in my life. Mike and Christy and Nate and I went to Wal-mart at 10 on Thursday night and it was a mad house. It was so crazy to see all the people and have to wait in line for an hour. It was all pretty entertaining to see how crazy people can be. Then on Friday, Anna and I went shopping at 6:30 in the morning to get some socks and other fun stuff at Fred Meyer. I decided after all that excited and lack of sleep that I probably won't go unless I really need or want something in years to come.
Nate got to help put up the Christmas lights
Saturday we got to Firth and Nate got to watch the little girls while the older girls went out. We were going to go to a craft show but there was an admission we didn't know about so we went to the DI and looked around and got some clothes.
Then Saturday night we went and picked out a Christmas tree at Stop and Shop. I also got my mom's house all decorated for Christmas. It was a fun and relaxing week and hopefully we can make it through the next three weeks of school!

We're having a.............................
Yesterday we went to the doctor to find out the gender of the little thing that is squirming inside me. I think we both thought it was going to be a boy but much to our surprise we're having a GIRL! I think Nate was a little bummed out and now we are adjusting to the idea and getting used to saying she instead of he. We are both very excited and I was going to post the pictures that we got but they didn't really turn out that good. Our little girl was moving around so much and had the hiccups that the doctor couldn't get a clear picture. So today to make it more real I went to Wal-mart and got my first baby purchase. It was fun to shop in the baby section and made be so excited to be a mom to this special little girl that is growing inside me!
Party
Juliette turned 1 on the 18th of October and on that following Saturday we had a little party and dinner for her. It was funny to watch Juliette's reactions to the presents and cake- she pretty much showed no emotion. It was a fun evening and nice to be with family.
She watched Amy open her presents and maybe a little smile came out when she started playing with her new toys.
She just stared at us all with a blank and confused face when we started singing Happy Birthday.
She was timid at first to eat the deliciousness in front of her but once she tasted it she dug right in.
Then the following week my mom gave us a pumpkin to carve. Nate cut it open and we both took some of the guts out. We decided not to carve it all the way but just make it a thinner layer. It was fun to do and Nate made some really yummy pumpkin seeds that only lasted a few days.

Trip to Boise
This past Thursday and Friday I had a field trip to Boise for one of my classes. The class is Connecting Education and Employment so we went to a lot of different businesses in our field of study. It was a really fun trip though I was way tired when I got home Friday night.
Our first stop was at Eastern Idaho Technical College in Idaho Falls. It was interesting to see the different areas in PTE (Professional Technical Education which is what my field of study fits under).
Then we went to Skyline High School and saw the daycare/preschool they have there. It was made for the purpose of teen moms so that they could go to school and finish high school. The moms are required to take a class there and have to be pretty involved with their child. Others can also pay for their children to go there and other students can take the class and learn to play and take care of the kids.

Then we quickly made a stop at the Idaho Falls Temple and walked around and took some pictures.
Then we stopped at a culinary school in Idaho Falls. All the high schools in the area can go to this school for an hour or so and if they want get college credit.
The students there planned and prepared a delicious lunch for us.
Then we made our way to Twin Falls and stopped at Canyon Ridge High School. It is a new high school and has some really amazing and updated stuff.
We first went and talked to the FCS teacher. She had this amazing kitchen area, some pretty cool babies that the students have to take care of and a classroom that had some updated technology.
This baby is to show the students about shaken baby syndrome. The students can see how it effects the brain and the different areas of the brain and what part of the body it effects.
This school also had a really advance mechanics area and had some robotics and cool machines that students could work on and there is also a nursing program where students can get college credit and get their CNA by the time they are done with high school.

Then we made it to Boise and we went to Tucanos Brazilian Grill. We got to tour the kitchen and see the workings behind the scene and then we got to eat to our heart's desire. They have a ton of meat and waiters come around and keep on giving it to you until you absolutely can't eat anymore. The meat was really good but their mashed potatoes were amazing along with the grilled pineapple.
Then on Saturday we went to Meridian High School and talked to the FCS teacher there. This school is a lot more what I am used to and not quite as fancy. She talked about different things she did, talked about FCCLA and being an adviser, and also answered any questions we had.
Then we went to the Renaissance Center. It is this huge warehouse that a big portion of it is a high school, part of it is ISU campus, and then the other part is a PTE school. The high school students can go to the PTE part of the school and get hands on experience in different fields and get college credit. We just went to the culinary part of the school and the teacher showed us his kitchen. It was pretty impressive.

Then we went to the Dennis Center which is a PTE school. It didn't have any FCS programs but it had some really cool stuff and classes that would be way fun and gives students hands-on experience.
One of the students projects in the electronics class is to design this trike with a stereo system.
Automotive- There were two garages. One side was learning to work on the cars and the other side was doing the body work. The students get the body all nice and painted and at the end of the year they have a picnic and bash the cars so they can get fixed up the next year.
MachineryThen we made our way to the State Capitol. I love walking around the capital building. It has such amazing architect and it is interesting to see where laws and things that effect the state happen. So we had time to walk around and then we talked to the Stated Adviser of PTE who is also an FCCLA state adviser.

Then we stopped at this fun little family owned fabric store. It was pretty small but they had some high end, very expensive fabrics. It was fun to touch all of them though I am sure I would never buy any of them. For me it was fun to see the different clothing they had made.
