Letter V

Letter V for this week! We only got 4 days in this week since Friday was busy with shopping and science in Baylor's class.

Monday, McCall started our V week with gluing on pom poms onto the letter V.
Then our activity for the day was making Valentine's. She made one for Dad, Paige, and Baylor. They turned out so cute and she was so excited to surprise them all with a special Valentine on each of their beds.
Tuesday was our volcano day. I first showed her a video of a volcano and then she cut out the mountain and part of the V top of the volcano. Then she painted the lava with paint on a fork.
Then we did our own volcano. I filled a little cup with baking soda and some yellow food coloring and then she slowly poured some vinegar on it. It was fun to watch her reaction and she loved the bubbling over.
Wednesday was our vegetable day. First I veggies for us both to try. She was happy to try the carrot since she already knew she liked that one and the broccoli she was also good with since we often call them baby trees and we have had then before. The tomato, celery, and cucumber she was much more apprehensive about and did not like especially the tomato. I was proud of her for at least trying every single one of the veggies.
Then she painted with the veggies to create her own masterpiece.
Thursday was our vase day. First she created a vase craft by cutting a V out of paper and then using markers to color the water in the vase and the flowers.
Then we did some vase matching.
Another fun week of preschool!
