I can't believe we are getting close to the end of the alphabet. McCall loves preschool and here is what we did for the letter U.
Monday we started with using dot markers to put on the letter U.
Then she did an Umbrella craft. She cut out the handle and painted the paper plate with a Q-tip.
Tuesday we did Underground. We both colored some of the bugs and then she glued them on her paper and traced the word underground on top.
Then she did some underground sensory play. I got a bucket of dirt with some gardening tools and hid some plastic bugs in the dirt for her to find.
Wednesday was our Unicorn day. I was impressed with her cutting skills. I drew the pieces and then she cut them out all by herself. She helped glue and tape the pieces on and added the face. Then she strung yarn through holes that I poked through the top and then I tied them on for the hair.
Then we read all the unicorn books that we have.
Thursday was Underwater. Again we each colored some pieces for our underwater scene and she glued them all on and traced the word on top.
Then she did some underwater sensory play with some water beads, water, a net, and some water animals squishies.
Friday was all about Up. I had her tear some pieces of paper to glue on the arrow and we talked about up and other directions with the emphasis on up and down.
Each day for this week she colored a different umbrella with a certain pattern. She enjoyed finding the right colors for each day's umbrella.
Now onto the letter V!
