Fun in Idaho

We have had a lot of fun being with my family and being in Idaho. We have enjoyed being outside when it is not too windy.
Paige is enjoying the country life. She loves helping outside especially doing the chores. She loves to feed the cows their food and give them water and she loves to gather the eggs and feed the chickens grass.
We have also enjoying going on walks in the evening and one night we even found some asparagus on the bank of the ditch even though it is at the end of the season.
One day we went up to Rigby to visit my grandparents and we also helped her out by doing some things outside and we even all got to go on a 4-wheeler ride. Paige wasn't too sure about it at first but had fun.
Another day all the girls and Nate went to the zoo. We went with Amy and her girls, my mom, Sharolyn, and Erika. Nate got some great pictures of the animals. It was a great day!
All the girls got to feed the ducks and there was even some baby ducks that were so cute!
I went in the petting areas with the three little girls and we got to brush the hair of some baby goats.
Then it was snack time for Emily and the little girls had some fruit snacks, juice, and fish crackers.
Then on to looking at more animals....
The girls love this drinking fountain especially Paige. They enjoyed taking turns while all standing around the fountain.

Birthday Party

Nate turned 29 last Thursday and we had a big family party. All of my siblings were there and we had a delicious dinner and then Nate opened his presents. Paige enjoying helping him and especially loved that he got some jerky. About every day so far she has brought it to us to have a piece. It makes Nate happy to have his little jerky loving girl because I am not much of a fan of jerky.
Then we had an awesome water balloon fight. Nate and I prepared for this all day. We had gotten 1000 biodegradable water balloons a few days earlier and we were busy filling them up and after a little bit some of them started to pop. We felt them and they were all starting to feel like gel. So we stopped filling them up about after about 500 and went to the store to find more. We first went to Shelley and couldn't find any and so we went to Blackfoot to Wal-mart and got about 200. By the time we got back every single one of the water balloons we had filled up had popped. So we were busy filling up the ones we had bought that weren't biodegradable but I had to start making dinner so Nate got to quite a bit of it by himself. It was all worth it though once we started throwing them. It was super fun. We first to a water balloon toss and then the water balloon fight- first on teams and then a free for all.
 Our little cheerleaders.
Juliette loved this water balloon and carried it around the entire night.
Then we played a couple's croquet game. In the Peterson family we play cross-country croquet which is putting the wickets all over the yard instead of the standard course. We always have fun and we all are a little bit competitive.
Nate and I won! And Nate was pretty excited to win on his birthday.

TGIFF

This week's feature is a great friend that I have know since I was a little girl:
Lacey Bowlin
I thought she would be a perfect person to feature this week. She has been married for almost a week now and she was a gorgeous bride and I am so happy for her. Lacey is one day younger than I am so we had many birthday parties together growing up. We had all the same friends so it worked out perfectly. We were also in the same ward so we spent lots of fun time together. She is so kind-hearted and such an amazing friend!

Celebrate

Happy Birthday to the most amazing husband ever! I am one lucky girl that he picked me to be with him for eternity. He is such an amazing daddy and is so good with Paige. We are so lucky to have him! I love you so much Nate and everything about you! Happy Birthday!
Also 5 years ago today Nate proposed to me. It makes today extra special and the day Nate proposed to me he said "I want you to remember this day like I do." So we celebrate a birthday and an engagement today.

Busy Weekend

This weekend was pretty busy. We drove to Idaho on Thursday and Friday which was a long drive. It is nice to be home but I am not a fan of the drive.

Friday evening we went over to Derek and Amy's to roast marshmallows.
Paige didn't want a roasted marshmallow but was fine with a graham cracker.
Paige, Charlotte, and Juliette had so much fun together playing on the swing set, going down the slide, and even getting in the pool. Juliette didn't want her picture taken so that is why there is none of her.
Paige has loved seeing all the animals- the cows, the chickens, the baby kittens, and Henry (the cat).
Here Paige is showing her baby doll the cows.
Saturday was busy with wedding festivities. One of my good friends growing up got married. We got to be at her wedding and at her reception. She is a day younger than me and we had many birthday parties together growing up and we were in the same ward in church and just grew up together. It was awesome to see all of my friends from high school too and catch up with them. Lacey looked gorgeous and Paige was absolutely enthralled with it all. She thought Lacey was a princess. I didn't make that connection at first but as we were going up to the line Paige wanted to tell her that she had an Ariel pillowcase. I thought that was super random but then thought she wanted to tell Lacey about the princess she had since Lacey was a princess. When they were dancing Paige was just stared at her and kept saying pretty dress. It was so cute! It was a great weekend!

TGIFF

I know this is a day late but yesterday we were traveling to Idaho so I didn't get this done so here it is today.

This week I decided to feature:
Brett Hill or to me Coach Hill

I made the t-shirt quilt for my dad but since I already featured him I decided to do this feature on Coach Hill. When I was sewing the quilt it brought back so many memories. I loved cross country in high school and Coach Hill was the reason why. He always believed in all of us and helped us achieve our best. He was one of the most amazing coaches I have ever had. He always had such good stories, does magic tricks, and gives the best talks to inspire you, makes the most incredible doughnuts and pizza., and encourages you to push you to your best. He not only is an amazing coach but an amazing math teacher. I am very grateful for the influence that Coach Hill had on me.
